London based Chris Camplin is a rare combination of talents – a model and a classically trained musician and DJ.
His striking and distinguished image sets him apart from his contemporaries and he never fails to leaves an impression.
As a model he has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names and, as a DJ, he has helped to create a club night as individual as he is; the club night Little Gay Brother has established an almost cult following.
Über trendy and musically cerebral the event is an absolute must for Londoners in the know.
What is remarkable about Chris’s achievements is the almost instantaneous success he enjoyed in both endeavours – working with Tom Ford & Solve Sundsbo on a GQ shoot and playing to packed crowds at the cutting edge of London’s club land whilst still an undergraduate suggested to observers that Chris was born to develop a successful career in two of the world’s most competitive art forms.
Chris did runway for Walter Van Beirendonck in Paris 2010 and, later, worked with the designer again for his ‘Dream the World Awake’ anniversary retrospective in London; here he worked with major industry players including Nick Knight & Simon Foxton. He has walked for Lee Paton, JW Anderson & London's MAN show.
Chris has also worked with ID, Fantastic Man, OKI NI & modelling has taken him to France, Germany and San Francisco. He also shot a TV commercial for Nivea, which is soon to air Europe wide. Being a DJ in this environment means that Chris represents a point of cultural convergence - highly stylised and chic whilst rugged and industrial - his musical trend setting makes him an inimitable figure and a unique representative for bold and daring lines.
These appearances, in combination with shoots for various designers at home and abroad, amount to a body of work that assures his status as a successful male model. His DJ persona hasn’t suffered as a result however as Chris has since had gigs at London hot spots Dalston Superstore, East Bloc & Vogue Fabrics as well UK festival appearances at LoveBox, Secret Garden Party & Eastern Electrics & international gigs in Berlin, Madrid, Valencia & Milan.
